The OECD and the U.S. State Department are organizing the "Women Entrepreneurs in Global Supply Chains" workshop in conjunction with the meeting of the OECD Committee on SMEs and Entrepreneurship.
This workshop will bring together women entrepreneurs, program managers and policy makers to discuss measures and initiatives that have strong potential to increase the participation of women entrepreneurs in global supply chains. The workshop aims to promote awareness and understanding of the barriers to women's participation in global supply chains, including financing, government regulation, education and skills, and discrimination. The discussion will focus on best practices in public and private sector initiatives to support the participation of women-led businesses in global trade, and raise awareness of the tools and resources available to women entrepreneurs to export their products to global markets.
